HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR BATTERY?
Batteries are generally matched with an RC car based on its voltage, capacity and c-rating. Do check recommended specification of your device from manufacturer, or please reach out to us for more technical guidance.
What is the S, mAh, and C-rating on a lipo battery?
- TS represents the number of cells connected in series; 2s is 2 cells, 3s is 3 cells, etc. The nominal voltage of a cell is 3.7v, hence 3s is 11.1v, 4s is 14.8v, etc. Generally, the higher the voltage, the stronger the power source.
- mAh represents the capacity on the battery. The higher the capacity of the battery, the longer the runtime will be achieved during the run.
- C-rating represents the amount of discharge current output. C-rating multiplied with capacity in (Ah) unit will produce the amperage output. For radio control applications, this generally means the higher the c-rating of the battery, the higher the amp discharge that will be supplied to the application.
